Sophia Arabadjis

Sophia Arabadjis is PhD student in the Department of Geography with a focus on methods in the subdiscipline of health and medical geography. Sophia researches how health and disease attainment vary by cumulative environmental and social exposures, including wildfire evacuation orders, pandemic restrictions, and neighborhood/activity space. She uses a host of different data sources including electronic medical record data, wearable technology generated data, and surveys. In addition to her PhD, she is also pursuing a master's in Statistics and Data Science as well as the Demography Emphasis at UCSB.
