Roberto Amaral de Castro Prado Santos

About

Roberto is a PhD student in the Economics Department at the University of California Santa Barbara. His research focuses on environmental economics, in particular on two areas: (i) The benefits to agriculture of conserving biodiversity and (ii) the formation and transmission of environmental preferences. Prior to joining UCSB, Roberto worked in the asset management and insurance industries. Roberto holds a Bachelor and a Master degree from the São Paulo School of Economics at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil. In his free time, he enjoys reading comics, classic cars, and playing sports.
